i obviously block ads on my PC and only kinda recently started using my TV for Youtube and ho LEE shit how do you people watch shit
like a 10 minute video and there’s an ad every 2 minutes that requires your attention to skip else it’ll play for like 3 minutes straight

Although it isn’t that bad, they are annoying but they don’t play that frequently
Of course this could change as they have been increasing the ad frequency I think
Also I think they made it so ads play on videos that don’t meet the requirements, although the channel creator doesn’t get any revenue.
