Why did all these historical people with such long-ass notes for things that could be answered in a few sentences 😭
Like legit. Mlk wrote a 20 page letter explains why his actions were “Just, and moral”.
But most of it is just referencing Jesus and other stuff.
And I have to read all of it just to answer 4 questions.

Literally,
I thought I was the only one that wondered why
Tbf any sort of writing or speech can be condensed into a sentence
The point is always to view/present the full spectrum of what is being written/talked about , be it to inspire , to pour one’s heart out , to present yourself in a far more educated manner , etc
In the end , despite it being a massive annoyance to school kids nowadays , talking and writing in large droves is human , even sillier shit like nerding out to someone , explaining some relatively neat episode or book in overly drawn out details that includes your own opinions , etc , or wanting to sound true and proud , it all makes sense when you think about it
You won’t ever follow someone who’s full of one liners no matter how profound and agreeable they are , a long speech shows effort , they show the deepest possible emotions within a digestible amount of time , etc
Tldr
Because people loves talking and hearing others talk
I like your funny words magic man
