Grodot's Enemies, I

The Validus are a mighty race of militarized humanoids with an insatiable thirst for conquest and bloodshed. You see, Earth in this universe is a bit more advanced than ours. In the mid 1800’s, a massive exploration ship carrying hundreds of humans, Voyager Blue, set out to find other habitable planets in the event of an emergency. They found a distant planet, called Geo. The long space ride with different gravity stretched them, and through time this went from side effect to genetics. The average Validus is about 11 ft. tall. Soon, their urge to explore turned into an urge to conquer. They use an energy source similar to the output of the Crystal, Geoform, creating weapons and armor with it.

This specific Validus is called a Phalanx, part of the battle formation with the same name. They are equipped with a Geoform spear and gauntlet, which can either activate an energy shield or arm blade. Their weakness is also their greatest strength, however. The spear head, completely made of Geoform, can be shot of for a concentrated blast. If you can bait them into shooting it, you can easily close in and attack before they reload. It is important to note that more experienced Phalanx soldiers carry a backup knife for this exact scenario. For this, the best way to counter a Phalanx is aggression.
