Quick poll, I’ve been trying to get the face right to make my characters a bit more expressive while still fitting the style, but i feel like black segments are a bit boring, they work, but I wanna differentiate the characters somehow, so what if I added eye color?
Dunno if it works but im open to suggestions.
What would look better?

Thank you FoulSlender13, Very cool!
Both is possible

There can be differentiation without it being too glaring. If you feel fancy, add some highlights
Oh that might work
Of course it’ll work, it’s my idea
Idk i tried to do something a bit different since just adding a gradient makes the eyes look more lifeless wjiwbwww
I think the lifelessness is just unavoidable without highlights.

I understand that you want something simpler, but it leans more towards the bottom image than the top to me. Consider the highlights at least, but if it’s not for you then so be it
Would also suggest having the gradient be at the bottom instead, since it’s mostly done that way across the board and it’s also just more natural
Ohhh i see what you mean now
Thanks for the tip
Left looks like a possessed demon
Right is better
Also, if you want to you can just use my face, up to you though
Why not keep it one color, like the one on right, but simply give it a different color that isn’t black?
I tried that, but it blends too much, plus the eyelashes and stuff ddyhww
you might be using too similar of a value. Also I meant color the eyelashes and stuff too into one color. Mouth too for consistency.

Try #444290, can put that on eyebrows too if u wanna
Ohhh, apologies im stupid
Also yeah, thats actually a good idea i dont know why i didnt think of that, to just have the face be a dark-tinted color to match the character djebsiwkk
