Hello sticknodes community!
I realized I never told anyone here as I’m rarely active, but a lot of shit happened.Basically I’m a senior and it’s my last year of Highschool. At the end of 2022, I attempted to enlist into the US Navy. I knew it would be a tough process due to my vision in my right eye. After constant eye evaluations and searching for medical documents, I was rejected. I understood why. I originally wanted to join the Navy so I can build up some strength and the skills so I can get into Law Enforcement.
One day at my high school the Detroit police sent a recruiter there (they hire 18 year olds apparently) and I went to go speak with them. He didn’t say if I would get rejected or not but he did say I’d probably go thru the same procedure as the navy. Where I would have to get medical evaluations and medical documents. It’s likely I won’t be able to get into law enforcement. I didn’t go thru with Detroit Police. Right now my current plans are going to college for Software Engineering and hoping to get a job where I can help equip Police Cars with sirens, computers, speakers etc.
That is all, so unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to get my dream job but at least I know I tried. Now I get to do something else.

I’m very sorry to hear that your didn’t get your dream job, I think you would have been perfect for it
But I know once you find something else you like, you will do better in that then you could have ever done in the navy. I hope that you get into college
Your last year too?
Yes, I’m very old I know.
