I posted this on Twitter the other day (subscribe and like: http://twitter.com/ftlralph) but I’ll post here too:

    State of the Update

Alright so, when is the “The Sprite Update” update going to be released? Answer: I still don’t know!

Reason: This is a big update. A year in the making. I was drunk when I was estimating “before Christmas”.

it’s very near completion. Beta testers have made tested the shit out of it, and at this point its pretty stable with no known bugs anymore. I spent the last week fixing up the splash screen and adding all the new characters (from the competition: (https://sticknodes.com/groups/splash-screen-characters-2022-606773474/)

I am in the process of porting it to iOS, and so far, it’s working. I will get the iOS beta testers to give it a quick spin once it’s completely ported. I don’t anticipate many, if any, iOS-only bugs, so this is just a precaution.

Once that’s done, and the translators have translated the walls of text necessary for localization, it will be completed.

I can’t give a timetable. But May looks promising.

    Update

Since then, I’ve gotten the iOS version pretty stable. About to deploy to Testflight for testing. I already have a lot of people that have reached out, and will contact if/when I need any more Testflight beta testers.

Also, the translators (shouts out to @berke381 and @zordoronrez et al) working on the massive wall of text right now.

IRL however I am house-sitting for the past week and next ~2 weeks so, while I have all my devices, it’s not quite as efficient as being at home. Progress still being made tho, and like I said above, May looks promising.

    Pics related.
