Don’t give up on this brother, it had good potential. There is something in writing called the Lore Disease, where you build the world so much that you don’t have time to make the actual story; it gets to the point you use worldbuilding as an excuse to procrastinate. Just start making the beginnings and maybe it will reignite your want to work on it.

Ooh I actually have the opposite problem, kind of, I’ve made my villainess such a good character and I’ve COMPLETELY NEGLECTED the protagonist(s)
It’s alright, I’ll take my time and make the MC just as amazing as the villainess
Villains are always more memorable than protags, that’s a proven fact

She does have a sob story but it’s an actually realistic one

Like, next week I was planning to post a scene where she kills parents in front of kids so I can tease my animation project but… uh… Y’know… maybe that’s a lil bit fucked up ?

Honestly this was me with Kin for a long time, I made the story too good lol. It honestly just made me want to stop working on the beginning and skip to the good parts because, there’s just sooo much lore to go through at this point, I actually think that’s why episode one was such a chore to work on, I focused way too much on background info instead of the actual story. Basically what I’m saying is that people live in the present, and so should your characters, focus on that instead of trying to shove in background info where it shouldn’t be, of course there will be a time when you need to explain whats going on and the history, but that’ll come later.
