Random thoughts really but I just like spontaneously thought of a few things that would be pretty neat and would be feasible in SN with enough hard work. Just wanted to share, so the likelihood of any of these ideas getting anywhere is slim.
– Top-Down Shooter style animation. Would just require a decent amount of new figures to be made because for whatever reason top-down is something that is very hard to come by.
– An animation proof of concept thingy for some sort of military card game. Card “sprites” done in SN, exported as pngs and then imported back into SN with the glorious sprite update. I can imagine it being fully fictional with fake equipment and nations. (Fictional Nations for creative freedom of course)
– Fighting Game sorta animation. Not a proper game, just an animation of what a Sticknodes fighting game could be like.
– Fictional Nation and Alternate History for it (might legitimately try this, just need to actually nail making good-looking human figures.)

Most of these have been done before but cool ideas and bringing them back/doing it again wouldn’t hurt
Any chance you know which would be most unique?
Might like try and get a small team and get one of these done
No clue for which idea but I’m definitely not good at doing this kinda ”big project” thing alone.
easiest to be done by yourself would be a top-down animation. Not many have been made but there are a few top-down stickfigures that are well-made and usable.
Fair, it would be really cool if it was all my creation though. I’d rather not have a big cool project and only have made part of it.
Fighting game animations? There has been plenty of those, most notably Arcade Fighters. Shame that kind of thing went out of popularity, the animations were always so good
Interesting. I guess all good things come to an end sometime. Probably wouldn’t hurt to take another stab at it, but idk.
Wait “another stab” is a saying for trying again, right?
Am I delusional?
You are correct sir. To both things.
Hold on, my brain is not functioning rn. By both things you mean that Another Stab is a saying, and it wouldn’t hurt to try to make a Sticknodes fighting game animation (even if it already existed at some point)?
Just checking because for some reason my reading comprehension is that of a goldfish after getting hit on the head.
No I’m saying you’re correct that “Another stab at it” means try again
And that you’re delusional
But no it probably wouldn’t hurt to try
Alright. Thanks for the clarification.
It would take someone with a lot of motivation and skill, since those movieclip animations are frustrating like hell.
I can imagine. Getting them to line up properly would likely be a real challenge.
you cant copy the location properties of movieclips which pisses me off 3:<
I might attempt a Sticknodes game in a few years when I learn C#
Right now I’m learning python though
I’m not going to import them from Sticknodes though, it seems kinda difficult and I’m not a masochist. I’m just going to use Sticknodes Designs and popular characters within the app
Oh, just realized you said “animation”, and not “game”
My bad
It’s good, my wording is consistently awful to be fair.
But now I’m interested.
It wasn’t your wording, it was my fault
Oh, alright.
Which SN game were you referring to, anyway?
I could attempt to help if you want. Just don’t expect quality lol.
Either the top down shooter or the card game, idk yet
As for you helping me, I’ll @ping you in a couple of years! (As I know zero c# currently! (If I were to make this I would make it in unity), as right now I’m learning python. And after I learn python I have to learn c#. And after learning c# I have to learn unity)
I mean tbf an animation proof of concept of either can still be made
+ it’d help get a vision of the game before actually making it (it always helps to know what you want to do before doing it)
Fun fact:
I suck at animation
I will also admit it’s not my strong suit. Top-Down would be considerably easier than anything with side view though.
The military card game just reminded me of KARDS.
10/10 nuke card sound and effects. But god damn did they made the game progressively awful to play.
I completely forgot about KARDS but I might have taken like subconscious inspiration from it ngl.
