Also if I were to draw sprites that could be useful for people, I could upload those sprites? Is that a thing one can do?

but basically yes, sprites are accepted as long as its something *useful* (useful, funny, etc) and being non-copyright is a bonus
Words are hard, like backgrounds could be made and added to or created with sprites and such..
If I do something with that idea I’ll just let you know, case by case basis, and see what you think
