My little review for Man of Steel, Rocky land... M3GAN?

I was originally gonna put Superman: Red Son here but I haven’t finished it so I won’t add it here and I also figured that I actually post something that didn’t make it seem like I snorted 50 metric tons of crack. This is gonna be long so grab a snack or two… I don’t wanna see those fucking “too bad I ain’t reading allat” memes either, I ain’t tolerating that clown behavior you fucking bigot-

    Man of Stealing the MOOOOON-

So what do I think of the most openly debated superman movie of all time? Well… I like it. I think Henry Cavill does a great job playing our flying boy scout as do the rest of the cast playing their characters, I really dig the action (obviously) though having heard and even seen clips of other superhero movies that actually gave a shit about the quality of their writing, I understand why people feel that Man of Steel doesn’t properly demonstrate the entire point of being a superhero in a appropriate way with the constant and admittedly unnecessary amount of destruction these kryptonians cause but I also believe it’s horrifically realistic so I think I said all of this for nothing. Zod was a pretty decent villain, I definitely bought his motivation, his desperation to save krypton and… Uh…
    *Heavy Breathing*
Faora was… I think I see the appeal.

What was I saying? Oh yeah, Man of Steel. I think the dynamic Clark has with the other characters, especially his parents and Lois, were pretty solid. Overall, Man of Steel was pretty good, a solid 8/10 and now that I’m writing this, I don’t think we’ll ever have Henry Cavill back… Ouch… Also, The Flash didn’t do Faora or Zod justice-

Rocky, You’re gonna hear him ROOAR-

Rocky was a great movie, not even kidding. Even though it’s been a few months since I watched it, If there was any way to describe this movie, I think it’d be sincerity, cheesy and wholesome. It’s a surprisingly adorable underdog story in my eyes. Sylvester Stallone does amazing as Rocky, His relationship with Adriane is honestly kinda cute, her brother Paul was pretty entertaining as was Apollo Creed himself. I like how everything actually ends well for everyone, I believe It adds to the wholesomeness of it all, I appreciate how effective every scene was from something big like the final battle to something as small as Rocky providing advice for the girl he walked home. In fact, I think you should really listen to what Rocky has to say. It is cheesy… But goddamn, It’s also sincere. Every scene feels like there was genuine regard for how it should play out at least to me and I wish modern movies would try that more often. Overall, Rocky (1976) is a fun and wholesome film that I feel that everyone could enjoy and I’m just gonna say it, It’s a 10/10 baby.

Child’s Play (2019) if it was aimed for women

So a few months ago, I was seeing M3GAN all around the internet, some dumbass thought she could solo Ultron of all people and that was the end of it. Cut back to a few weeks before today and I finally watched it. Now is it good? I can confirm with confidence that M3GAN was actually good (Preferably with the unrated version). I commend the filmmakers for doing a good job for portraying a kid who is grappling with the concept of death, how hard it is to actually raise a kid which indirectly made me appreciate the bullshit my mother has put up with and what she’s done for me and my siblings and of course, showing us the problem with having something that was specifically made to be addictive to humans. Yes, It’s basically just the reboot Child’s Play in terms of plot elements like the kid growing an attachment with the doll, the doll becoming evil and doing everything in it’s power to “protect” the relationship it has with it’s select companion even if it means killing them and their parental figures and what not though there are some differences like with M3GAN attacking anyone but Katie until the latter sees what the former had done and decides to take matters into her hands whereas Chucky seemed to revel in Andy’s agony when he detected even the slightest sense of distrust between the two. Also, Gemma was pretty great, liked her trying to be a good role model to katie and M3GAN herself was a good villain. Of course, there is the unnecessary dance she does but aside from that, she was good. I also like how Bruce got a decent setup and great payoff with that final battle, I love me some good ol’ Robot on Robot action… Not when they fucking though, just had to clarify that.

Now what pisses me off isn’t the movie itself… It is the person who watched it with me. The family watched it and thought it was good or alright… Except for one. You see, my brother had a different taste in things which would be fine but wouldn’t you know it, He found the movie “cringy” as if he didn’t even pay attention to what the movie was trying to say and to prove his point, he decided to compare the “terrible” tone of this movie to The Batman, a movie that is entirely different to M3GAN because apparently, movies can’t have fun and gotta be dark and gritty and serious and I honestly find that disrespectful to both films and a bullshit excuse to consider the movie cringy or inferior. Yeah, ignore that guy as his argument makes no sense whatsoever, M3GAN was a great film. I’ll give it a 8/10 for the characters and moral of the story

Holy hell this is long! Sorry, just wanted to speak my feelings to these films
