Do you have a cloud service? Maybe you could still save them if your device back up your files in a cloud

Itās because you didnāt have it setup before you lost your data
Itāll only save data from this point on, so your files canāt be retrieved from the cloud, I think

It sounds like you had a similar experience to me. In my case, my device broke and I lost everything I made on another device. That device is now hidden out of sight under my collection
