So, I’m at another standstill.
stuck in the middle
So, here’s the problem. I know where I want to go forward. Willem goes on to have a cat and mouse game in a food court with the antagonist, that ends with him finding Bud so their arcs can truly begin, and Eiley ends up with Lizbeth so they can have a tense, close and neon fight with a horde of twigs in a dark, claustrophobic in a laser tag section, that ends with some downtime so the characters can have development, and then they meet again and move on to the finale. however, the place where I’m at makes it very difficult to move forward. I spent so long wondering where the characters would go next, that I didn’t think about how they would. I’ll figure it out, but I’ve cooked myself into a corner for now.

In other news, the antagonist, the Arboracertas, is now called the Whistlewood. My “bad guys” always end up with names sounding like an obscure indie band.
