muscle is great but sometimes too much is too much…

also, the faces seem like they tried to imitate jojo too much, maybe thats what i dont like
i like the jojo style(s?) but if you imitate it then it looks weird… idk araki did it best all im saying
I think it’s an art style similar to a lot of others, it’s hit or miss between a lot of people, and little in-between. I think the overtop muscularity of the characters and designs can be a major turn off for people but also part of the charm for others.
Personally I think Baki’s style is nice, I can definitely see the similarities to Jojo however in certain aspects as well as how it could be displeasing to some. In the end it comes to personal preference ig as does all art 🤷♂️

Someone done a video on this before and essentially they were saying how while it does look good especially in the father and son arc it just has a grotesque value to it still which I would say is very true.
Some of the shots are insanely detailed and really do a good job at presenting power, impact and force but still, some pages / shots can look weird.
