i’d disagree, a person so animal-like in behavior would more likely be exiled. maybe he was ONCE a great Knight but then went mad after something happened to him and he was exiled from his kingdom.

So maybe he should be like a beast in shadow gule, that scavenges around the kingdom and castle killing off civilians that dare come near him and scavanging for metals to chew on and bones to take the flavor from, just things they throw out, he sleeps in a big tree that blocks the entrance to shadow gales kingdom, and as he has huge senses he will more than likely wake up and attack anyone who comes near him.
