my parents r being like so fucking rude
for the past month ive been concerned that i have either autism or adhd
i told my girlfriend about this and she told me to just tell my parents

firstly, i told my dad and he was very kind about it
we both talked to my therapist and she did tell me its best to tell my doctor (which i will next time i get a check up)

one of the reasons why is because uh
a lot of people have told me i act like it
    yeah uh
    i started noticing it too
im very forgetful, easily distracted, fidget too much, sensitive to certrain sounds (i literally have to put headphones on or do something to move around such as fidgeting or just walking just to be a little bit comfortable), and more

being sensitive to certain sounds has ruined my relationship with my mom, she sings and hums a lot and i have to turn up my music because it feels like my skin is crawling

i even have to adjust around just to fix it
i told her this YESTERDAY, and all she told me was ‘i dont care’

my dad was in defense with this, and i was fucking pissed

i dont know what to do anymore

    • Hey, just want to share a bit more perspective here. Life is full of ups and downs, and it’s completely normal to feel frustrated or overwhelmed. However, throwing those feelings into a public space might not always be the best move.

When we post our struggles online, the feedback we receive might not be as helpful as we hope, and over time, those posts become permanent on this site. It’s like looking back at an old animation and cringing at the result later. (Such as my sticknodes rewind)

Also, consider the ripple effect of spreading negativity. We all have our battles, but constantly dwelling on them in a public setting can create an atmosphere where the positive aspects get overshadowed. It’s not about downplaying your feelings but finding a balance between expressing yourself and maintaining a supportive community vibe.

Having a circle of close friends or trusted individuals to turn to can provide more meaningful support. They might offer advice based on personal experiences snd the same environment. So, next time you’re feeling frustrated, maybe try reaching out to those around you for a more personal and constructive chat.

Members of this community might not agree with me and you might not do so too. You are entitled to it. Some might say it’s good to communicate to a place you consider a safe place.

Regardless everything will be alright. Many more years to come. Many more years to improve. Many more years for things to change.
