@giganshowaera yeah you’re gonna kill me for mentioning you. But I can’t post images in replies & comments so.. f*ck it. This is what I’m working with, not that bad compared to some other things I’ve worked on pre-website activity.

Ralph has added like a trillion different features just for people to ignore them , waste time , nodes , money , and their parents’ love
Just for people to make dog shit and/or over complicated figures
Bruh do you know how new I am to this? Started October 28th last year. Just recently got into MAKING figs. So fuck off my guy let me wallow in my immaturity like the imbecile I am. I’ll get there at some point.
1. Use curved nodes , it can be finicky but once you get the hang of it , it’ll be a godsend
2. Try to fill it with nodes instead of polyfil , polyfil is objectively easier but can eat through nodes just as easily
Overall not bad but again just over complicated
Yeah ik it’s not efficient, and I’ll be using curved nodes soon, I’ve been playing around with them for a while in some other side projects. Overall thanks for the tips.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN POLYFILL EATS UP NODES :SOB:

?
you can upload images, and then copy the link int othe comments to link an image for completely free
Yeah but I’m a fatass. Too lazy to move these God-given thumbs
Tip, for future reference:
If you wanna reply with an image, then copy the image link and upload it to an image hosting site. Then just copy that link and send it, and it’ll work. Like so:
YES I AM!
Recommendation for the use of polyfills
1. Don’t use them
2. If youre gonna use them, use them help you easier outline a shape with other, less costly, node choices (I see a couple things you could’ve made with just a square/trapezoid and a triangle, for instance)
I know the node counts, but since this is such a huge project (7 bots + power-ups) it’s a time-saving “technique” I’m using. Can hardly call it a technique though.
i use polyfills for those spidermen that i make, particularly only for the lenses though since its easier but its basically just because i dont need to, because the head, legs, and arms are all 6 different stickfigures (well, 5 because the legs are the same)
kind of a self promotion but eh
Keeping it real, polyfills suck unless you need something to move in a certain way, and should almost never be used for static areas like eyes on a mask. Its easier, its less time consuming, but it EATS nodes, nodes you can use for other things. But its great for fabric designs that just wont move correctly without them, or similar effects
fair
it also works for like,,,,,,, like idk if you saw it but one of my symbiote spiderman’ and venom has like, some highlights
particularly a highlight on the upper back, like back ribs or smth idk its on my profile
it was easier to use polyfills for htat idkiaeikd ikeika iaie idk
i just use polyfills because i dont do detailed stuff and i dont have much time to work on aything
Last paragraph describes completely me.
oh i use them to cut corners and save time every now and again dont worry sis (assuming here correct me if wrong <3)
I did it on the hat of my Giselle figure (shameless plug its in my group) and my Desperado logo from MGR (shameless plug its in my group) sometimes it just saves a hassle. but i had to move away from them as i got more detailed cuz it ate nodes (now i just eat nodes by putting too many almost unseeable small details)
Hey I’ve done a shameless plug to explain something I do in sticknodes before.
Personally I don’t see an issue
Finally.
