then you can get any mod and it will automatically set it up
all mc mods/modpacks are usually posted on the curseforge site since its the #1 mc modding site
so you can download the curseforge mods using the app, and the app will automatically add the mods to your mc. the mods that are downloadable on the curseforge site are on the app too. its just that the app organizes them and puts them into your mc game without requiring any work
it also supports mod profiles, which means you can have multiple instances of mc with different versions and variated mods.
idk if it supports online but it most likely could
Replying to:MannyAnimsIt is, but I don’t see why you hate launchers so much
Curse
its mostly because im worried theyll run worse and besides, running it through the minecraft launcher itself makes me feel more.. i dont know, in control?? i just prefer using hte minecraft launcher
get curseforge
its not piracy, dont worry
its a mod organizer thing
search up how to link MC to curseforge

its not a launcher, right?

Curseforge works fine, used to use it

Launchers won’t make Minecraft run worse I’m pretty sure
And I’m pretty sure curseforge still gives you control over the version and everything
Idk I’m just pretty sure you need a launcher to install mod packs, not too sure as I never installed a mod pack before
Tbh I’m not the kinda guy to go to for help with installing mod packs, try looking up a tutorial online
either way, id just rather not use any other launcher, its just personal preference
curseforge isnt a pirated launcher
its just mc launcher but cooler
and it doesnt slow down mc
it makes it faster, bevause you can put optimization mods with curseforge!! you can also change ram allocation and code arguments too.
and its completely legal since it needs an official copy of Minecraft to link to curseforge
oh if you want default mc launcher mods youre gonna need Forge and the version youre using that has the mods
so if u got a 1.20 modded mc you get forge 1.20
forge does all the work for you and it creates a profile in your mc launcher
usually the profile is gonna be the version you got, say 1.20 and its gonna be called “forge”
it basically creates a profile with mod support and the version you got
then go to the .minecraft directory (google up where to find it on your pc)
and youll find a folder called “mods”
paste all the .jar file mods into there
make sure the mods you get are made for the correct version of mc
so say you got 1.20 forge, you would go to the Modrinth or Curseforge site and look for 1.20 mods
if you want to import modpacks (like Cobblemon or RLCraft), thats where youre gonna need Curseforge app
i dont really care if the launcher is pirated or not, that isnt the point lol its just preference but ill see
Yeah thats why i talked about Forge
Its a profile creator for normal mc launcher
it creates profiles with mod support
