    • In all my years of high school I haven’t even seen cursive. Unless you’re going to some highstrung top private school, I doubt even the teachers would use it. It’s still useful to know, though.

    • Cursive isn’t necessary in any academic applications, only real-world applications for cursive would be something such as signatures, but even that is dubious.

You would only use cursive in something like a calligraphy course.

    • I learned cursive way back in 3rd grade for some reason. Since then, I have forgotten all of it, and never used it once afterwards, literally all the way to highschool and then now. It’s neat to know, but I honestly don’t see much use of it unless you want fancy looking handwriting…

i don’t think i ever actually used it outside 4th grade ever

still, it’s good to learn, so at least you can read it

    • It’s useless as fuck, all you need to know is your signature

    • I was taught it way back when and had stuck with it for years since I was told and it was incentivised that I should write in cursive. That changed randomly once I finished school, since then I’ve written normally but put more effort into making it readable and clean and it just looks way better without cursive nonsense, easier to read too.

    • I use cursive to write and it is my preferred style of writing. It usually isn’t used besides a signature, plus It’s harder to read to most. Most of the kids handwriting at my school look awful anyway. Hope it goes well learning it.

    • I use cursive as a flex.

    • Honestly. it’s not gonna make a big of a difference if you write in cursive or not. I think the only important thing about writing in cursive is your name (or your signature) so nobody would trace your name when signing checks or something
