We’ve long been aware that your circle of friends holds differing opinions from mine. However, I’ve never sought to impose my opinion on anyone here, including all of you.

I’d like to introduce you to the concept of “defamation.”

In my view, what makes people “shitty” isn’t solely their opinions, but rather how they impose them on others.

Furthermore, I believe everyone has the right to their own opinions. Whether you agree with what Robert said or not is up to you.

Honestly, I fail to see how he has demonstrated any threat to our community so far. I believe publicly exposing individuals for their opinions and resorting to defamation are clear indications of communal hostility and potential danger.
IIt’s not my role to pass judgment on people’s opinions. Feel free to dislike whoever you wish. My responsibility is to ensure that individuals adhere to the basic rules, specifically, no hate speech directed at others. I lack the authority to enforce rules within the Discord group; if I could, I would have advised Robert to cease (or to facilitate a respectful discussion). However, since I lack access to Discord and the authority to enforce rules there, I can only do so here, and I will continue to do just that.

Not to mention if youre so concerned about “kid-friendliness”

For people that do want to know what I wrote, here it is:

It’s termed as “escalation.” These conversations take place on an external platform within a private server or group where everyone has the freedom to express their opinions. Exposing someone for their viewpoint on a platform intended for socializing is unnecessary and only worsens whatever transpired in that Discord channel. There are millions of individuals who don’t support LGBTQ+ individuals, whether due to religious beliefs or personal ideologies. Spreading private matters like that and singling out members for their opinions only serves to escalate tensions and provoke conflict. This post serves no purpose other than to incite such.

You have access to his Discord; you can directly communicate with him to express your disagreement or discomfort. You’re entitled to take any action you see fit within that Discord group. Sharing this here only serves to publicize private conversations.

If Robert did the same, he would face the same consequences. Randomly expressing disdain for people without any intention of engaging in constructive dialogue but rather to spread hatred would result in the same consequences you faced. His opinion or yours holds no relevance to how individuals should behave on this platform.

I’m quite baffled on how neutrality is ever a bad thing. You’d wish if Robert did that here, that he would face the consequences, but not yourself.

What robert did on that discord can potentially lead to him facing consequences here, but you as an user also have the responsibility to be civil and address the problem to Ralph. He would happily yeet the guy with the ban hammer.

Facing consequences does not equal defamation or spreading drama.

If you genuinely believe I should not be a moderator, then I personally will contact Ralph to do some form of community voting. I’ll happily resign if I do not represent the community as it wants.
That’s the true ideology of how moderating works and democracy on a bigger scale.
