    Update:

    I’m giving the DMC characters a combo/style system.

    The basic premise is that their first three moves are Light, Medium, and Heavies while their fourth move has two different variations in/out of combo (mainly resetting combo counts)

    Combos will have a max of 10 hits, but as said above, can be reset and do more hits.

    For the DMC characters, they have no phase 2s, and they gain buffs from their “style ranks” (D-C-B-A-S-SS-SSS-EX), with each move giving a different amount of style points. (1.5x the amount of damage the move deals = Style given by said move.)

    Taking the fact that each style ranking buffs your damage by 0.1 every time (i.e, D gives you 1.1x mod, C gives you 1.2x mod, etc), having a EX move that deals about 45 damage will give you 135 style points.

    Each rank has their own Style Point requirements however.

    D: 0-200

    C: 200-400

    B: 400-700

    A: 700-1000

    S: 1000-1400

    SS: 1400-1700

    SSS: 1700-2300

    EX: 2300

    As you can imagine, this is a very complex mechanic and will need several movieclips just for it, but I think I can balance it.
