The Spot was more of like the catalyst for the anomaly, and the spider itself was the anomaly until it bit Miles and died. From that point on Miles was the only anomaly remaining, because he was the only thing that wasn’t as it should be

think ab it cus everyone wouldve been affected differently if miles didnt have spider powers
he wouldnt have to worry ab his parents knowing his spiderman
the kids wouldnt wear miles merchandise like the mask the kid wore
He wouldnt have been late to his dads party so he wouldnt have gotten grounded
and his dad would be at risk to die because Peter Parker from that universe would be alive and probably wouldve created a bond with this officer like they did in the spiderman insomniac game
Miles probably wouldve gotten bit by the right spider in this universe but instead he was bit too early
there was no spider in his universe
he was originally meant to take after his uncle, the prowler, like earth 42 miles
thats why you can hear the prowlers theme (albeit reversed) in miles theme and vice versa
