im looking for ones that dont change much (for instance, they just change the lighting, nothing with textures) and ones that also make rain look beautiful, like realistic rain (raindrops on the group)

i use complementary reimagined its pretty neat (actually it might complementary unbound i dont remember lol)
it doesnt make my computer blow up either which is awesome

i tracked down that imagee in the post and they were using sildurs
so im gonna try sildurs here in a little bit along with complementary
i looked it up on curseforge and unbound in the description says “transforming” which i was assuming is a big overhaul of the textures so im gonna use reimmagined

i got the shader from a huge modpack called breakneck and it came with its own configuration mod thing called breakneck menu. maybe download that??? (breakneck menu not the modpack (unless u want it)) idk if you can get it without the modpack or not actually
like when i open the thing to edit it it crashes

find the best possible lighting shader and also try to adjust your settings where its still to your liking but runs fast by processing less
I’m not too sure your computer can handle shaders, you have trouble running roblox right?
it should be able to run it with sodium, its a performance mod so it should boost my frames right????? and roblox is super unoptimized, less than java normally is
Yeah but shader’s are usually very intensive, even with sodium it may not be enough
I do recommend pairing starlight and lithium with sodium btw

If youre struggling with fps, get a whole optimization modpack
New Lightweight is my all time fav, its a 1.20.1 modpack that adds new content, ALOT OF optimization, and still maintains the vanilla feeling
Least laggiest shaders for me are probably Mellow Shaders, I think theyre on Modrinth
i hate modrinth
why its faster than curseforge and has more mods
it uses its own launcher and thats something im picky about
i dont trust any launcher that isnt the minecraft launcher because the last launcher i used was tlauncher and that….. was not safe
curseforge technically uses its own launcher, but in any case ive used curseforge for longer and the launcher looks like the default minecraft one
You dont have to use its launcher to use its mods
And its launcher isnt an offline/cracked launcher, its jsut like the curseforge launcher (you need the actual game to launch it)
i know, i still dont trust modrinth
like i said, ive been using curseforge longer, not even the launcher
i used to play cracked and curseforge is where id get all themods
