I’m working on something that I have never done before.
So as some of you may know, I’m working on my own story lore thing that basically goes: ww3 happens, earth is almost nuked into oblivion, animal human things are made for militaristic use, ect ect.It takes place around 2040~2050, so if ww3 happens in like 2027, I need to make a bunch of designs of next gen cars that don’t even exist yet.
So here is an indev design on a 2026 ram. But by the time the main story takes place, this thing is a classic car, a lemon if you will. It’s got thousands, maybe even millions of miles on it.
and yes it looks similar but the headlights are a different shape, more angular. Same with fender wells. I’m trying to take into consideration what is currently being hyped over in the truck industry. Big, angular, darker glass. And the ram hasn’t been redesigned for years now.

earth is almost nuked into oblivion, animal human things are made, takes place in 2050
oh no
is this a common trope
do i have to rewrite my entire story
No I dont think so
Unless your protagonist is a coyote and has a vintage truck from the 90s that has air suspension,
Seems inspired by Fallout 🤔
But who am I to know, I only got past the Prolouge of Fallout 4 and met up with the robot before becoming bored.
