Battle of Wizna begins
On September 7th, 1939, in the beginning of the Invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany, a pack of 350 to 720 Polish men hold off the forces of the Wehrmacht, who numbered over 40,000 soldiers. They lasted for three days and made a heroic stand still remembered today. Read more below, and check out the Sabaton song that is about this very event.
