It’s seriously not that deep, folks. stop digging yourself into unnecessary holes.
If one person, just one person could give me a valid reason for hating on someone who’s genuinely made a difference in this community for the better, I might rethink my view, but for goodness sakes, shut the hell up if you’re only focused on devaluing someone else’s work because you’re just jealous.

i dont know the full scope so im not gonna say much but im with thoughts, gigan and damon
especially given his reply to the situation
noone was devaluing his work though, we were complaining about how hes (allegedly) an egotistical jerkwad
also, he hasnt made a difference imo
he sure exists and makes cool stuff, but people that have made a difference are gigan, thoughts, damon, iggy, lemon, mellow and so many more people
ive never heard of eb doing anything so awesome or revolutionary

Personally, I haven’t seen gigan or anybody else you mentioned’s work, so I’m not gonna sit around yapping about “oh they couldn’t’ve done better than EB” bc in the end, I don’t know. I’m not as active in this community as I used to be.
What I do know, however, is that when I got into this community, I saw EB’s work because of his heavy emphasis on guns and general weaponry. He’s what brought me into the community, and to be honest, he’s done some incredible stuff with project landfall.
In the end, art is subjective, so why the hell should be argue about who is better. Talent is in all of us, some of us just split talent into different fields
generally i knew he made guns, but i wasnt sure to the extent of how much he was liked and how influential he was because of this, since ive only been active in the community for like 3 years lmao

while im not an eb defender, i have my own problems with the guys views but thats not something i care enough to get into, EB certainly had made an impact in the past, and was the motivation for a lot of users back in the day. while a lot of his influence nowadays is gone, and arguably doesnt matter in this facet of the sn community, at one point, he did have an impact. plus im not sure how hes impacting the sn community outside of this facet, id rather not blow my head off to find out. anyway, that doesnt mean he isnt able to be criticized, impact and legacy dont negate criticism (this last sentence isnt directed at anything you specifically said jade)

Maybe this is a dumb response to do since it’s not realllly relevant to what you’re saying but
Gigan can be like that at times , and “reactionary” (I don’t know a better word, just like swinging insults at people she deems deserving) but I think she’s made many changes for the better, at least from my relationship with her and how I’ve seen her actions and behavior improve personally,
I imagine if she kept up her bad past behavior she would not have been allowed to stay around so long “scott-free” as you put it

i dunno, when gigan first started popping around they acted like an asshole, i go back to the site a few years later and they still act like an asshole regarding this whole EB thing
ofc we have different perspectives but to me nothing has seemingly changed

I guess I hope gigan can show she has improved eventually, because I think she has for the most part, even if she can have slip ups and do stuff I can disagree with, we all do though, such is life
