it sucks because, the new score was so much better than the bedtime sleepytime music of the original Japanese DBZ putting you to sleep during even the most intense moments, they ended up having to use that instead (hot take, somehow, but idc)

Pretty sure it is. What the people love, tends to be what the industry cuts. A tragedy indeed.
