You can work your way up is a lie made up by the rich fellas to keep the working class under the assumption that communism is bad.
You have a chance at making it to the top, sure, but that chance is so slim it might aswell be a 0.01%.
Imo? Way better to do the same job everyday it if means not starving in the streets.

Homelessness is WAY too much of an issue to be called “impossible”, to starve.
And im not even talking about the drug addicts or other people in miserable conditions that you see on the daily, im talking about the minimum wage workers who can barely afford food, and are forced to live in a car, or homeless shelters (because YES, that’s way more usual than what you might believe)
And of course, at the end of the day we’re talking about a fictional utopia where everyone gets along, even if we somehow adopted communism, it wouldnt take long for somebody to want more than the others.

My dad and I work in uber, it’s hell.
But I’d still choose that before communism any time of the day, we’ve seen the difference between both in action and I think it’s more than clear which one is the best option

The problem isnt the ideology, the problem is that all the countries under dictatorship use communism/socialism as a cover for their real intentions.
I’ve had the same thoughts too, while communism can sound good on paper, it’s still up to the leaders of it
