So, i quickly wanna talk about a scene in the film that i rarely see talked about, but i hate, hate HATE.

it’s the knife killings just in the beggining of the film.

Neck knife slashing is no stranger for the western genre, look no further than Organ Trail (2019), or Deadbirds (2006).

however what we do rarely see in movies is knife violence done with a knife SO dull and rusty, it doesnt even look like it has an edge.

it’s disturbing, and it’s horrible, especially because you get to hear each of the layers of skin and muscle rip and slash before they bleed out.

and the worst part is? It’s 100% historically accurate, not many bandits and scoundrils of the frontier would get to sharpen their knifes.
