WITH ALL THIS TALK ABOUT FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE GAMES I’D THOUGHT I’D MAKE SOME TOTALLY ORIGINAL CONTENT ON THIS POST IN THE FORM OF: A Top ten list. These are a list of my favorite and most hated games. The hated games is gonna be short tho, since I don’t buy many bad games (Not even for da memes) Also every game on this list I have to had played. I should also state that this is my OPINION if that wasn’t clear enough, you are allowed to like these games.

    10. Sly Cooper: I was first introduced to this game when one of my older brothers got it for his B-Day. It was one of my introductories to the stealth genre and I cherish the memories me and my brother had to this day. The control’s were tight, the writing was witty, and the characters were entertaining.

9: Little Big Planet 2: I got this game for my birthday and it’s really was got me to aspiring to be a game designer. I always loved creating a interactive experience, and I loved showing my games to my brothers (Even though I’ve only ever finished 1 game before) The designs of the levels were creative, using the games limited mechanics to their full potential, I mean, I still don’t know how they made that spider for the boss in world 2. And the characters were charming also, with the villain being an evil vaccum, as it was heavily implied in the intro for the game that this is just all a child’s imagination as their mom was cleaning up.

8: Terraria: I loved this game, and I’d take it over Minecraft anyday. I got this for free on the appstore when I still used a samsung tablet, and me and my brothers would play it together. As time went on, all of our tablets broke, and we all had to get new ones, meaning that we’d have to restart our progress, but you know what, I’d go back and restart anyday. Something about going from Zero to Hero was appealing to me about this game, with you starting out with NPCs commenting on how weak you appear to be and act like they think you’re a dummie, to them then relying on you to defeat major bosses they see as a threat. I also like the many easter eggs in this game, ike the Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts. I kinda fell out of the game though, since the mobile version wasn’t getting 1.3 anytime soon, and it all just felt like 505 abandoned Terraria, thought I am glad to see the studio moving on to bigger things.

    7. Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction: So, wayyy back in the day, the only gaming systems my family had were the original Wii, and the PS2. My dad had a buttload of games for the PS2 and would occassionally let us play it. One of the games me and my brother were particularly fond of was Mercenaries. The concept of a completely open world, that allowing you to blow up pretty much anything was very alien to us, and we really enjoyed doing it. We did it so much we came up with our own tricks, like, if you get a heli-copter it comes with this little magnet pully thingy, and if you pick up a vehicle with it, you can motion you helicopter in a circle, and then release the car with massive effects. It was very appealing, and even thought I never finished it, it will always be dear to my heart.

    6. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga: I Remember exactly how I got this. It was 2011, the Thor movie had came out recently and it was my brother’s birthday (We used to only get games on Christmas and our birthdays) and our dad handed us Thor figures, and put the game in the Wii, at that moment…We instantly fell in love. This game was so fun, we loved the collecting, we loved the platforming, we loved it’s humor, we loved character creation, and we just couldn’t put it down! Infact we held onto this game until we got another lego game. SPEAKING OF WHICH.

    5. Lego Marvel Superheroes: This game man. Now I originally wanted this for Christmas, but that was when it had recently came out and was sold out, so my dad got it for my birthday. My dad had gotten a PS3 the year before and allowed us to play on it. And once we were hooked, we couldn’t stop. Once again a giant open world followed with witty humor, and enjoyable collectathons and an amazing character creator? Sign me up now. We even roleplayed which looking back now was incredibly cringey but Enjoyed it.

5: Injustice: Gods Among Us: Soo my eldest brother got this game for his birthday, because he wanted a change of pace since up this point all he ever got was racing games. I was really bad at the beginning, and really all we could was button mash, but when I got some time alone with it I really got good. I mained Green Arrow and was amazing with him, so good infact that no one wanted to play with me. As the time went by and I had nothing to do but play by myself, I learned how to effectively play almost (Emphasis on ALMOST) every character in the game. This game was my introductory into the world of fighting games and it’s a experience I’ll never forget.

    4. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games (2008): This was the only “Real” Mario game I had and me and my brothers (Especially my eldest) played the everloving hell out of it. I mainly played Knuckles (&Knuckles) my older brother played Sonic (He was a huge Sonic fan) and my oldest brother mainly played Yoshi. Our 2 favorite games were Dream racing and Dream fencing. I bonded alot with my brothers throught this game and I will forever appreciate it for that.

Now before we get to the top 3 let’s go through some Honorable mentions.

Rainbow Six Siege: I played this when Xbox was having a play for free event, and I loved it soooo much. It couldn’t go on the list since I don’t actually have it.

Metal Gear Solid 1, 3, 4, & 5: All of these games are amazing, and I had a great time playing them, but I decided to pick the one I enjoyed the most, because other wise this list would be flooded with Metal Gear.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations: I love this game, but I have 1 major issue with it; the subsition system. I disliked the original games’ subsition system because it was very inconsistent. You had to block as soon as you’re about to get hit, and when some characters do 3 hits per button mash (I’m looking at you Gaara) it’s kinda difficult, but furthermore, you can only subsistute from certain attacks, meaning that you’re still going to be taking loads of damage. In the later games they revamp this system, making subsititions WAYYY more responsive, BUT. The way the new system works is that you have a subsistution meter, you can have 4 substitutions max, the meter goes down when you use them and recharge overtime. The main problem with this is that the fights depend less on ‘Who has the most skill’ and more on ‘Who runs out of subs first’ because when I play this with my brother we always try to bait eachother into wasting our substitutes and it can get real boring. Because of this flaw I couldn’t fit it in the list.

Ravenfield: I enjoy this game because I’ve never fully been into Battlefield, so this was a nice taste of what’s to come if I ever do get into it, however this game is unfinished and I don’t include games that aren’t over 1.0.

Rainbow Six New Vegas 2: I enjoy this game at the moment, but uh, I’m only at the start of the game. I don’t know if my opinions will change, so I kept it off the list.

Batman: Arkham City: I am a huge batman fan and this game is faithful as all hell but I just couldn’t fit it, even though I’ve played through this multiple times and I did consider this, but looking at it now I have little interest in the game besides the challenges most of which I’ve already completed.

    Now for the top 3.

    3. Team Fortress 2: I got this game at the end of last summer and I enjoyed it soo much. I’m also really glad I got it at this time as Jungle Inferno was right around the corner and just breathed ever more content into this game that I just Adore. The animations made by both Valve and fans are just fantastic, and the community around this game is incredibly welcoming which is suprising for such an old game. I recently went pro and got an even funner experience occasionally participating in trading. It’s just a game that keeps on giving and I’d recommend it to almost anyone into shooters.

    2. Counter Strike: Global Offensive: If there was a game that really made me feel like a tactical, methodical, and well put together Militant, it’d be this game. This game is just amazing, I love almost everything about it! The trading, The Competitive Scene, The Casual scene, hell, most of my favorite Youtubers are CSGO Youtubers and the consistency of it all just allows this game to be a prime candidate for anything competitive gaming related. Definitely give this game a try, it’s usually only 10$ or less, and it’s almost always on sale.

And now, for the moment you’ve been waiting for, my number 1 pick without the shadow of a doubt, is…..

    1. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty: This game is my childhood. This game opened my world of more dark more mature games, and it was one of the few games I could legitmately take seriously. The AI is filled with reactions and complex situations that it makes it fun to get the stealth camo and just mess around with them. I’ve replayed this game multiple times and just cannot stop. The story is an engaging meta narrative, talking about the internet, VR, war, etc etc and it’s was just sooooo compelling! The gameplay is great too, the stealth is simple but challenging. Each strut has a different gimmick that you need to keep track of, and boss battles are distinct and unique enough to remember, and don’t even get me started on the characters. MGS2 is a mark of video game advancement, showing that videogames can have compelling, intresting, and deep storylines that could even rival most movies. The gameplay once again, revolutionized the stealth genre and it shaped my childhood. This is something that I think everyone should experience. Soo that was my list! I’ll make my top worst much later, since I have to think of games I truly loathed to even make a top 3.
