On account of the excess energy and lack of other essential biological requirements, the creatures sole source of sustenance has led to a dependence on this energy leading to its extreme growth and grotesque proportions. The time taken for the creature to have developed such traits is likely the results of hundreds- if not thousands of years of exposure and what can only be described as evolution.

It is believed that this creature does not know it is alive nor fully dead, it knows it feels things and vaguely senses certain environmental features, however, no high brain function has be recognised, let alone a sense of mortality.
