One day, little ol’ 11 year old Abby randomly remembered an animation app she used to use when she was younger. She looked in the app store for it, but to no avail. Instead, she found something else. Something different. “Stick Nodes”. The app promised easy animation, and little ol’ Abby liked stickfigures. She decided to download this app.

Unbeknownst to her, she had just made the best decision of her short life.

She made multiple animations on the app, utilizing its default stickfigures, especially the superheroes. But that wasn’t enough. Abby wanted more, and she didn’t know how to make her own. Then, she noticed a button that promised user created stickfigures. Intrigued, she decided to click it.

It was stickfigure heaven. She could now get a Venom to fight her Spider-Man, a Robin to go alongside her Batman, a Steve to fight her creeper. It was perfect.

Then, she discovered the “activity page”. Filled with more usermade content, but it wasn’t stickfigures. No, it was posts. Posts made by people like her, even if she didn’t know it yet. She created an account, trying to name it “firedragon165”, but someone had already taken that username. She thought for a while, then came up with “@asticknodesuser1”. Luckily, you could choose any display name, even if someone else already had it.

She didn’t fit in at first, no one does. She was annoying at first, everyone is. She even got into some drama at first, a right of passage. But eventually, she grew. Grew into a better person, someone who knew how to act online. Someone who, for the very first time in her life, was finally, truly, accepted.

She is still growing even today. She can make mistakes. She does make mistakes. But she also makes friends. She makes people feel good.

She makes herself feel good.

And on the 20th of November, 2025, she had officially had her current account for 500 days. She created this post to celebrate while coming home from school, then posted it onto sticknodes.com.
