also you should add blinding christmas lights from your aunts house on your character
You could try toning the colors down, making them warmer, Christmas relies on that cozy color scheme
instead of it being just a colour variation, why not accessorize? Add a lil hat, perhaps some gloves or mittens.
Honestly i think making like a string of lights just go around him would look pretty good
this is just step one of the festivization
Definitely add a santa hat and maybe a stylized robot reindeer.
