It was so it can be more expressive without needing 39383729288482873 bajilion different other sticks, and just be a single, highly expressive, head

Oh yeah if you ever wondered why clide doesn’t wear pants, it’s cus he doesn’t wear clothes to begin with. Only clothing item he wears is his hat, the jacket/cloak/detective’s uniform shirt thing his literally just his skin. He is a walking, talking sea sponge after all so he doesn’t have anything to conceal besides the goop that is his insides
Your OC is very cool. He reminds me of a scraggly old fisherman with a beard and hair so thick that the artists represent him by making his entire face the same as his hair

Regarding the head- the hairs are very sensitive and are actually used for hearing as he never bothers to form himself any kind of ear canal, so if he was bald he’d also be deaf
