What is a bad future au?

Well, it’s when the worst possible outcome is made of a character/event, so theoretically villains, tragedies, and broken people, etc.
In this case, Hemmingway has become a broken villain.

Due to him being unaccepted but rather persecuted due to him being openly gay in a very hostile environment that he grew up in, he grew to despise everyone who lived there and, as such, anyone else in the world.
The reason why he ends up despising EVERYONE is due to the heavy amounts of indoctrination within the town, which has led him to think he is the only one of his kind.I think the penultimate reason for his rage is that he notes of Jesus saying to love everyone in the Holy Bible, but the people “following” him in the town (as all of them are christain or at least say they are) often are quick to set that aside while ironically locating the exact mistranslated verse that can be easily be misinterpreted into “Gay = Sin” in Leveticus. So he basically thinks everyone else is basically acting against God.
