Well the Broodlings are kinda doing that job themselves along side the hatchers. Broodlings are very violent but will always check their Node Spawn brethren to see if they are diseased. If this is the case, they will make it the ultimate sacrifice by dragging the infected Node Spawn as far away from the hive as possible and then dig themselves in to prevent the disease spreading, the two will then both tragically die of starvation.
Hatchers on the other hand are fairly passive but will become extremely ferocious to anything around them if their carried eggs or worse, nest is disturbed. They are incredibly territorial and will always snarl and snap at other Node Spawns who step just that little bit too close
