• Honestly this site is becoming sh*t to me
Idk why but i stray furhter and further from this
And i’ve only been 3 months (or some shìt like that) here
    I wanna leave
But i also don’t want to
But, idk why, lemme just say some things about this site and people in it
Keep in mind this is from my perspective and view of the site
I’ll be giving HONEST opinions about people and stuff about this site and their actions

    1. @epitaph200
I don’t hate you as a user and a person, but some things that you say look, wrong to me
-Animation and Story & how to separate both arts
Occasionally, i see you say that “If your animatiom doesn’t have a story, it’s mediocre”, maybe you say this because you make series and stuff but lemme clear something up:
Animation and Story are two different arts
You should know when to differentiate Story from Animation
A GOOD Story can be written in paper and you already feel impact, emotion, and jokes, no need to use animation
An Animation can be made without a story, as long as it has:
    -a way of impact
-atleast a bit of story on why this is happening (especially for fight scenes, give backstory on why they fight, like because they hate each other, etc)
    -Creativity
    -Design
    Isn’t animation for fun?
You basically overwhelmed me because of you
basically saying “Story is everything in animation if you wan’t to be a good animator”
Took me a while to figure this out
Some animators are too young and imcompetent to make a series but still put time and effort on storyless animations (also some are really good at animating but follows the factors above)
But still, this doesn’t mean you can’t criticize them
Next time, just RECOMMEND them to make a story whilst criticizing on the overall animation quality.
That’s all i have to say about you honestly…
Feel free to oppose or give an opinion, just don’t force it up my áss
Also i still don’t know how shading works and how to make sharper looks help

    2.Critism, and everyone
Now i’ve been watching Solar Sands lately
And i’ve noticed something about him
He Criticizes Art But He Isn’t good at Art
This is a perfect example of free speech and giving opinions
People today believe that “If someone doesn’t have experience, they can’t judge” because they don’t want bad things said about them
They only give these privelages to people who surpass their skill
I mean, Whoever here has knowledge or aware of master cheif-
    I mean masterchef
    I do
    And i noticed something
These critics probably can’t cook the food served to them themselves
But they still have the right to judge
WHY CAN’T WE APPLY THAT TO EVERYTHING ELSE?
I’m just saying, you can accept peoples opinion, even when they don’t have experience about the things they are criticizing
The most noteworthy ones are the ones who criticizes constructively
    Constructive critism
I’ll paste a vid here on the comments later

    3.Weaboos, Otakus, Japan, And Anime
I’ve seen a lot of people misinterpretatr the meaning of “Weaboo” and heres the real meaning:
“Someone who thinks they know everyting about Japan because they have endulged in Japanese created entertainment, and completely disgraces their own culture and Japanese culture”
Now, a lot of you have switched the word “Weaboo” with “Crazy Áss/Obsessive Otaku”
    And that’s wrong
You shouldn’t associate “Weaboos” with Japan
There are a lot of Japanese Created Entertainment that isn’t anime (like KOF, it started to look anime-esque around 2001, but the previous games tried to make the artwork look realistic rather than gigantic eyes)
And you shouldn’t chase away people who like anime(otakus) or Japan just because they have a genuine passion about it (except for Weaboos, they deserve to be chased out).
I don’t wanna say anything more here, because i don’t wanna type + by the time i was typing this, i haven’t ate yet
I still have more to say
Vut ima too fukin a lazeeee.

    • I don’t really have a say on this. Apart from the constructive criticism-but-not-equaling-to-their-skill. I completely agree on that. It always pisses me off when I watch a cooking show or America got talent, then my sister being all like “They are not on to speak because they can’t do half as good!” So I do know what you mean by that

      • Replying to: CookieInTheFaceI don't really have a say on this. Apart from the construct

I made a test animation to see if I could animate some action and epitaph told me to put a story in it

    • Everything you said is true.

    • Just have fun! Ya gotta chill bro, don’t take stuff to heart so hard. Who cares what one or “they” if you are happy with your work show it! We worry to much on the opinions of others it takes the fun aspect out of things. I understand what you are saying but you don’t have to take all critizim. Make your opinion on there opinion whether they are valuable to your project. Some need more “details” and “story” some need less. Just cause one person likes things done that way down mean the others agree, find your balance enjoy your time other wise you will hate it and never return. The 12 principles of animation are guidelines not rules.
