Whether you like it or not, YOU’RE the face of the community, you are the standard.

BUT YOU AREN’T SETTING A GOOD STANDARD.

When you attack people like @spierrwolf or @ssbswb you send them the message, that they gotta fight back.

When you are such a humongous figure in the community, you gotta back down. It may suck, it may feel like you’re giving up, it may feel like you’re rolling over, but trust me you have to.

If you set the standard, that people don’t have to start endless flame wars, and constantly fight back whenever you get attacked, you’ll set a better standard for everyone.

Because when you attack back, they attack back, they feel it is OK to attack back because this is a fight.

They see themselves as the underdog fighting against the big man.

If you really want whats best for the community, don’t be an A-hole when someone is an A-hole to you.

Try to calm them down, and if that doesn’t work, leave it. Because if you go and attack them, you’re attacking your rep, and the community as a whole.

Being popular is a burden, but it can also be a tool.

Please, show me you want to use that tool for good.
