Because I can’t stand seeing the community I considered as my family being slaughtered like that. I hate hurting people, but I’m also very honest so here I go: this community has become cancer.
I’m not saying everyone here is cancer, but this is going way too far. I can’t recognize the friendly and happy community I grew up with, everything changed now, everyone makes stupid memes and constantly hate on every single stickfigures, except the popular animators’ ones, this is fukn discriminatory, and let’s not mention the countless trolls. And yes, this might be nostalgia but many users agree with me.
Nowadays, Epitaph is the puppet master, and he controls everyone’s minds with his movie, I’m not saying you are a bad person Epitaph, I’m not trying to imply that, but you clearly think you’re at the top of everything since you started the SN movie, look at you, you’re raging on every stickfigure that is similar to one of yours, you’ve gotta be kidding me. This community has become unfriendly and anger-ish.
Since Berke and OneHighJump left, everything went downhill in this community, and I know nothing will change, because I’m just ONE guy who dares to talk about this in front of an entire community. Everyone will think I’m dumb, but I don’t care, at least, I said what I really thought.
Here you go, I’m done now. The nostalgic Sonic Heroes fanatic and probably the oldest active user retires. I’m probably unknown in this new community, but I was quite appreciated back in the day. Ralph, I’ll be there if you need to translate the app in French, I won’t let you down, I still consider you as my friend.I am sorry, it really breaks my heart to say all that, but this is a goodbye.

SN has been getting more popular each month, as a result more people keep visiting the site + new users
so it’s not the tightly-knit community that it used to be
but to be honest it’s not bad
I think there’s no maliciousness (99% of the time)
it’s just trolling, but in a friendly manner, kinda like how friends insult each other for laughs

But yeah i whole heartedly agree with Ralph here. The only reason the community is different is because it literally is, there are new people flooding in left right and centre simply because of the incredible sensation that is this app. If you’re too stubborn to forget the past and accept change, you will grow angered or depressed, a game i played called RiME reflects on this point expertly exept it more tackles the them of loosing someone to death but it’s all done symbolically, possibly the only game to legitimately make me feel enlightened by its ending
In all seriousness, I agree with you. The new community really got downhill, especially with all the newbies joining each month, constantly spamming their **** in here.

I saw the old community for two months and I actually think it was way batter than the new one, you´re not alone dmlan, Im also trying to keep the old communit alive, now I really feel alone, 90% of the community are gone, I hate this kind of people commenting Thicc, imitating epitaph, the way that epitaph says its “the stick nodes movie” but cmon by the way the story is going this is just about him, the sarcastic comments everyone says, I just can´t do this, you cant bring back something, just live with it, Ill live with it, Ill just keep triyng to bring the old stick nodes even if i know i will never be able to do that

In fact my character has some of the least screen time of all and does not do anything exept spout exposition, calling it the ‘Sean movie’ would make more sence
I know i am late but……if you leave permanently the community will get rotten and get cancerous for real…..WE (the peacemakers,the REAL animators,the people who give friendly constructive criticism) are the only few people who can make the community better….we must end all conflicts,people being absolute jerks,meme people (this an animation community not some kind of comedy bar!),etc…….my point is…..if you leave….people in this community will be…..infected with the “cancer”…….(also….thanks for the animation that you let me borrow [walking animation] it was very helpful i have been getting better at walking….now i only need to improve on non tween walking….anyways…..dont permanently leave the community please……..your one of the only good/friendly users here….but….it is your choice…..and whatever your choice is……the sticknodes community will support you 🙂

Dear god i feel like a villain now.
Yes, when i first arrived here i noticed a far more happy and accepting tone here though people have become more and more aggressive as of late. I can see what you mean by ‘the movie is controlling people’ but i must emphasise the point that it is my gift to the community, not a cage to trap them in. Though I’ve always liked the feeling of authority, I despise boasting and if i am complement myself, I always make sure to point out that I’m not boasting and simply demonstrating opinion.
Now i must say that it is heartbreaking to hear that not only you but OneHighJump and the legendary Berke have fallen too but somehow despite all this, I believe there’s still hope. DMLan, you of all people will know how tragic it is to watch a beloved series destroy itself over time (that being the Sonic games since ’06’ and ‘Boom’ happened. I honestly hope that this same fate doe not fell upon us too. For you to leave is for a part of the entire app itself die away, your existence here has become a sort of memoir to the site’s past all those years ago before i even knew what a ‘stick nodes’ was.
DMLan, if you believe I’ve become this much of a threat simply through my powers to manipulate (which i never knew i had) then I promise to try and be more careful. Die shall the ‘extra thicc’ memes, die shall the ‘nude Roux’s’. I shall promise to use these powers for good and hopefully if i can I’ll maybe even become like you because as much as people may say about me at times, I don’t entirely believe them, I don’t feel any more important than Galaysite or Chimdi O or Vata, i feel just as average as everyone else but you and Berke I’ve looked up to like gods for crying out loud, i used to see Explosive Bullet in this way but ya know, times changed and I’m now a sort of rival of his (it’s just banter though, no seriousness).
You have to see that as powerful as i may seem, I’m not, not physically, mentally or psychologically. So if i am to instruct change for benevolent means, i need YOU to tell me what’s right and where to go.

Now that I wrote all that stuff, everyone seems to express themselves, I had no idea they were from my side so I didn’t mean to start a “riot” against you.
Look, the reason why the community has become more agressive (in my opinion) is because probably 50% of the community supports you, they admire your stickfigures, thus, they follow the way you act and to be honest, you are actually quite agressive with other people. Please do mind this is my point of view, I am not trying to make you feel guilty even though it looks like, but since you need me to put you to the right direction, I’ll have to point out every flaws.
Considering the movie, I know your initial intention was to entertain the Stick Nodes users, but it looks like you used it as a power to become almighty and powerful. Unintentionally, somehow.
How can I be that iconic for the Stick Nodes community, I am not even sharing my animations, I’m just a guy screaming Sonic Heroes around, and I’m supposed to be part of the legendary trio? Lmao. I know it breaks some people’s Heart because I’ve been a friendly person with ’em, but I won’t say I’m an important person for Stick Nodes, I brought nothing to it but a french translation for the app, and some ugly ass stickfigures eventually.
You’ve never been a threat to me, I always thought you were a bit too pretentious, but that’s it. We’ve never talked seriously until now, now I know who you really are, and I’m terribly sorry, I never thought it would hurt you like that. Also I didn’t know you would “admire” a french idiot like me, or even consider me as a god along with Berke and E.Bullet, which is actually surprising imo, but look, if you really need me to “change”, I’d gladly help, even though I’m more of a loner who doesn’t know how to “teach”, I’ll try my best. @jack can also help you if you have any problems, he’ll be there to listen to you.

The movie is a throne: well the reason I’ve gained such popularity from it is quite simply that it’s good and people like it, I haven’t sprinkle dust on it to brain wash people lol. The apparent ‘initial intentions’ are in fact the primary intentions as i always aim to make people happy, hence why most things i make will have some form of comedy in there, be it good or bad.
That aggressive little Brit over there: so I’m apparently a little bit aggressive and pretentious. Oh dear. I can definitely agree that i can be aggressive to people when they for example haven’t credited me when editing my figs but it’s simply because I protect what i own very desperately because outside of this site, I’m as close to nothing as can be, i have pretty much no friends outside of here and a group of 12 yr olds on Xbox Live. For pretentiousness i have to say that I disagree. Whenever i may boast or spew my own glory, i will alway make sure to point out that I’m not boasting and that in fact i simply and pointing out what i see as my opinion and times ‘fact’.
