So I got this idea where for different parts of a stickfigure its Layering can be seen when animating, for example say if you were to select a segment, it would than give you the option to see its layer, and show a outline of the segment amongst the rest of the stickfigure.
You may be asking why this idea though? And my answer to that is that when creating a walk cycle or something along those lines and you have a black stickfigure you cant see the layering so it may get jumbled up, also its helpful to know so when moving things back a few layers you can just get there quickly, I also think it should be added to the creation menu aswell and an option to input the layer of a segment.
I created a image describing what I mean, it shows a stickfigure with its arms and legs outlined and on different layers also at the top left it gives the option to display it.

i get why this is useful
i hate pooping on ideas that are well thought out and even have pictures (lol)
with layering, you really need layers, either in creation mode or animation mode, and SN just doesn’t have layers (like Flash does)
I’m already stretching the limits of “layer” stuff with the auto-camera stuff and even upcoming movieclip features, and it’s such a massive ass-pain (due to lack of layers) and this would be much the same
I know this made no sense to you
apologies
Make more layers simple
I understand, some things only you can understand and others not, I accept your apology.
Maybe in the future something along these lines can be added although who knows.
Anyway good luck with 3.0.0
What would be more possible prob would be grouping sticks and hiding them.
But otherwise layers would be just a total mess to do. Especially for mobile. I had an idea about grouping that I told Ralph once. But still a lot of work.
Tho separate layering for single stick is overkill definitelly.
