@ralph
in tandem with the coppa petition you linked in the website, you should have a “failsafe” program, i know another platform that’s just like youtube and could be an alternative place for us Stick Nodes Animators to migrate to, Vlare, it’s basically youtube 2.0 except no monetization.just in case all hell breaks loose and youtube starts the banning of users worldwide (and fining), if you have any other suggested website that’d be great, but please keep this in mind as the situation just keeps getting worse as time goes on.

I think monetization is key factor otherwise people wouldn’t even bother
nah man non-monetized are affected
I know. I’m talking about people wouldn’t want to be dedicated to platform that wouldn’t give them revenue tho
we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it, I still don’t think this is gonna be as extreme as people thing but still am watching
i mean, nothing’s happened yet right?
like i haven’t even bothered doing anything with my channel nor will i
i think it’s just because i’m used to this type of bullcrap
for example, GDPR or whatever the acronym is, some relatively recent new dumb law from the EU where you have to…idk even, like, get consent from your users to show ads or some nonsense like that
I don’t really think I’ve changed anything to adapt for this throughout the years even though I’ve been emailed “learn about GDPR” etc emails from google
but its just like, one of those things that “you better do it or else!” but nobody enforces this shit because its nonsense and from what I’ve seen from other app developers/etc nobody really cares
I guess unless you’re “popular enough” to be taken seriously or sued, that is
not exactly a bullet proof legal strategy I know but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
which is exactly how i think this coppa crap will go
i mean they just warned us in advance but aren’t enforcing yet
