Hear me out here, @ralph , because I have 8 ideas (Yes, I get it, you may want a TL;DR version, but you shall not have a tl;dr version!), but I was thinking of an ability to have movieclips playing faster than the actual animation? It would be useful for 10 FPS animators like me trying to use 20 FPS effects, and instead of having to recreate them using individual 1-node stickfigures, which takes a crud-ton of time, we’d just be able to put the effects into a movieclip with 20FPS playback seed. Or even just a playback speed option where it can be either 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, etc. It would also be kind of useful(?) for meme-style animations, where there’s just this one character and he sees something spoopy and immediately starts doing a run cycle at like 32 times playback speed with running in the 90’s playing in the background. It may seem like an obscure feature but it has its uses.

My 2nd idea is for there to be a dominant “Movieclip Colour”, where you could set one or two figures (with the same stickfigure colour of course) to be the movieclip’s “Main Stickfigures” and then the movieclip’s default movieclip colour would be the same as the stickfigure colour of the main stickfigures. You would be able to change the Movieclip Colour to change the colour of the main stickfigures. It would be useful for movieclips such as, say, a stickfigure firing a pew pew gun. If you wanted that stickfigure to be red instead of black, you’d have to make a new copy of the movieclip and go through to modify every frame of it, and the movieclip library would probably end up being cluttered with “Stickfigure_pewpewgun_fire_black” “Stickfigure_pewpewgun_fire_white” “Stickfigure_pewpewgun_fire_red” “Stickfigure_pewpewgun_fire_blue” “Stickfigure_pewpewgun_fire_orange”
    etc etc.
Whereas with this feature, you could set the figure firing the pew pew gun as the main figure and customise the Movieclip Colour instead.

3rd idea, kind of simple to code in, ALLOW EXACT SQUARES TO BE CREATED USING THE POLYGON TOOL BY SETTING THE AMOUNT OF SIDES TO 4!!!! because currently, to get an exact square, you have to use the modify branch tool to make it’s length and thickness the same.

4th idea, just allow segment length to be viewed and customised with + and – buttons like thickness. It would be relatively useful.

5th idea, maybe there could be an option to, if you’re using stick nodes with an internet connection, have, say, a youtube video as the background music or sounds for the animations. If the animator is animating offline, the background music/sound simply won’t play. Also an option to have it loop would be useful.

6th idea, more length to movieclips. After 100 frames it says “This movieclip will take a while to save, are you sure you want to go further?” and it would do it every 50 frames from there on out. After 200 frames, the message would be in ALL CAPS. After 500 frames, it would be R E D ! and after 600 frames it says “This movieclip bout to take up a bundle of memory are you sure you want to continue?” and it would just get progressively more Ag̵gr̵eśs̛i͝ve̶ly̵ co̴lo͞ur͜ed ҉w͝i̷th a c͟ou̡p̷le͜ o͜f ̨m̷in̷ǫr͟ ̡dįs͝to͘rt ̶eff̢ect͝s ̛to̧ make ͜u͏s̨e͏rs N̵̢͢͏O̵T̡͡I͟͝ĆE͜ ̶̧͟͠I̷̕̕͠Ţ̷!̸̀͜ I myself personally don’t like the limit, as I “abuse” movieclips to have longer sound effects in my animations, so it would be really helpful.

7th idea, amount for blur to extend on figures. Seriously, sometimes with large figures up close to the camera, the amount of blur “1” gives is n̷o̧t̷ ҉e͢no̸u̢gh͞ to make it look good.

8th idea, last suggestion, I promise, but a bigger limit on stickfigures. Hear me out here, but using movieclips, segment scale, and stickfigure scale combined, you can get a figure up to 1000 flipping percent scaled with no repercussions, so why can’t we do it normally with stickfigure scale and segment scale?

      —–

1st) can’t do this one, sorry, even flash doesn’t have MCs that play at a different rate than the project, and I can see why, it’s a coding nightmare, 1000x moreso because of the way SN handles things like tweening and delay

2nd) idk what you’re on about with the “main stickfigure”, but having a “movieclip color” that would modofy some pre-determined color in the stickfigure(s) used in the MC was originally planned, may be added eventually because your example does show the use of it

3rd) this is a good idea actually

4th) this is a good idea actually

5th) the requirements to get whatever this is you’re trying to describe working make me sad so no

6th) sorry m8, gotta limit MCs because of memory, not time to save, i don’t need people yelling at me about “i have 3 frames in my project butt im out of memory y ralf ur app sux” meanwhile they have an entire disney movie in 1 movieclip eating up all the memory, it’s the same logic for why stickfigures are limited (that, and lag)

7th) this is a good idea actually

      8th) see 6

      • Replying to: Ralph (Developer)holy wall of text batman ----- 1st) can't do this one, so

Alright, I see. I’m looking forward to seeing viewable length, extendable blur, and perfect squares with the polygon tool. I’m also looking forward to a movieclip colour tool(?) in the future (possibly)
