I like it except for the cord thing

The cord is unfortunately needed.
I dont have the time but i’ll explain it really quick.
The Weapon has a kind of built In dynamo, the plasma keeps cycling thro the cord making it hotter(plasma), so hotter= Faster Duplications of the plasma cells (Chemical). So to not ran out of bullets the cord is needed.
The cord os also story whise needed

It’s fiction so imagine humans are super cool dudes who make pistols without stupidly long blue cords to shoot plasma
But imagine that cord being shoved down your……l
has no logic, but you can feel the plasma thro your veins.
But the serious thing, logic is needed because this resolves around the Nukelander Series. (A series that is told by figures and not by animation). Kinda wanna have it be a realistic series that takes place in the future

Unfortunately not, but if you get shot by that thing on your arm, well your arm is going to burn away just like acid. Imagine getting shot on the hip or chest, bye bye hip/chest.
This is more cruel than a nuke.
