i don’t think that’s how data recovery works but i’m not smart enough to argue
i think it requires reading the actual sectors of the drive itself not the “file” where, once it’s on another drive (your PC), it’s literally just that file, nothing hidden underneath (besides what might have been “overrwritten” on this *new* drive by this file)

It *can* overwrite leftover space but not always. I once had corrupt video i tried to copy from my sd card but couldnt for shiz due to errors.
Tried moving video to different folder, didnt work either, same with renaming.
After accidentally overwriting the video to 144 bytes while trying to repair/convert it i almost necc myself.
File recovery works miraculously though as it not only managed to recover uncorrupted version of the video, but also it registered all these edits the folder gone through throughout the months. Idk how. It just worked.
Rest in .nodes

Relatable, I feel your pain 7/10
There is no undo button that can undo that

I thought you meant use PC to scan the copied file on your PC to find the deleted file which kinda is like wot
I meant copy the new version in case restore unlife new one and they both become corrupt cuz lawl
version in case restore unlife new one
Copy the new version (of the file) in case (file) restore unlife(s) (the) new one.
What the heck where you guys argueing about?
Two retards who barely have no knowledge about file restore software try to argue about file restore software.
