It’s there done like that because of how it was coded. It would pretty much break tf out of the stick if it was toggleable.
kinda what arc said, it has to be enabled in creation mode bc it saves certain data and angles required for calculation
while i likely could hack around this, i kinda like the idea of limitations in some cases like this, it forces people to actually deliberately want/build/make a node “smart stretch” rather than it just be a toggleable “i wonder if this will work lole” situation
