unfortunately, the texture packer I use there’s no way to tell it to “yo keep the same damn layout just squeeze this little image over in the corner” – it runs an algorithm that ends up shuffling everything
also so far it’s just 1 small button indicator for “long press”

Oeuf. Also I remember u saying smth that I can use the text file and the atlas image to decompile sprites to invidual ones in sprite packer, then compress them all again. Which kinda was the thing I wanted to do.
I’d just need the new sprite and new txt atlas file I guess and see how it works out

@arcionek okay good news I was able to just manually add the new images/coords to the atlas
pro:
“editing” the skin can keep the same layout, you just gotta modify the small square(s) of new image content
con: old skins still work, technically, but they will simply be missing new visual elements
I disable skins upon first start of 3.1.0 with a warning, but users can just turn old ones back on and not see the new stuff but w/e
idk for how long I can keep this up, eventually i will likely need to just recompile the whole atlas but not now
