2020-05-28 03:48:41 UTC This site is genuinely one of the worst subcommunities in the Stick Nodes community. It’s filled with unfunny, obnoxious, and cringy idiots who multiply like ants. It’s a literal hivemind of the same jokes. Over and over and OVER again. I barely see any kind of unique or well thought out joke in this site. The people here barely know how to animate jack shit and shit on nearly everything that’s done by popular base animators. A lot of my friends genuinely hate this site because of the community behind it being literally one of the worst. To me, this site is literally just Reddit’s bad qualities mixed in with Sticknoders. I hate it. I genuinely missed when I had actual fun while interacting with this website, but with the community slowly dwindling into shitty trends and horrible memes, it feels like that fun’s been long gone. I’ve been on this website ever since the Community Activity page has been opened, and it sucks that there’s barely any sort of genuine fun stuff that’s being done here nowadays. It’s all the same obnoxious trolls leeching off the site jokes and making them die as soon as they get popular.

idk i’m kinda stuck in a weird limbo here, i joined discord servers but i feel like an outcast, sometimes even here being a 2+ year old user, but i make the best of what i have

I 100% agree. I wish that the site could be back when it was good. But this is becoming like the Fortnight community. Toxic. I only come back here to check if my friends made updates, to update StickNodes: Calamity, or to download a new fig. I used to be on here a lot of no I’m barley even on here from those people.
I believe we all should just migrate to Discord.
I can see what and why youβre saying what you are saying but the only issue I can agree with is the shit jokes although what did you expect from a community of kids and teenagers?
This is no professional animation site, just a place where people who use the app can come and talk about things.
With all do respect as well, you are barely here anymore to be able to see the full array of content that users produce so how can you be so opinionated on it. Across the most part we do see crappy content but you should be online more and maybe than you can justify your reasoning.

ive been getting online everyday, for the past 3 years, i tend to see a few good posts and stuff that are good every now and then but to be honest, posts are getting drier and drier, especially with jokes becoming more obnoxious and troll-ish than actually funny
i wont be mentioning names but i see so much stuff that’s bad that it overshadows the good, what i hope for is for that to be lessened to make the site a better experience. i see a lot of good posts here that actually impress me and are actually pretty entertaining and refreshing. i have the right to be opinionated on stuff like this. everyone does, i don’t blatantly claim it as facts. it’s merely my opinion and i have the rights to say it.
Iβm not trying to deny you your opinion I was just trying to catch the good side of the site although youβre right the amount of dull boring posts is overwhelming at times if not at all times.

A lot of the new users try to come up with new, lame jokes, such as βgeyβ , βdinoseanβ, and etc. (which is stupid)
Though I havenβt seen anyone actually shit on great base animators recently.

i still see good posts on this website, just because i dislike the website’s community doesnt mean i have to leave, i’ve spent over 3 years of my career on here.
i still like some of the community members here and i just simply wanted to state that the posts here are starting to get drier and less enjoyable. although i do apologize for the fact that i did sorta get a bit too harsh in the middle of my statement, which is a fault on my end.

Honestly, a lot of this is why a bunch of my friends stopped coming to the site… idk whatβs so different about me that I chose to stay, I donβt really like seeing posts that make me explode in a fit of anger every five minutes because of their stupidity… which is like, 90% of the community.

Honestly, I agree with the majority of these points. I genuinely miss the good old days of the site, back when it wasn’t as cringy. Being a SN veteran, I’ve pretty much seen the rise and decline of the Site’s community, and it kind of makes me sad. Back then, it was a simpler, better community.
Due to this, I’ve been genuinely curious about how the other subcommunities function. I seem to hesitate whenever I think about it, though. It may be because of my shy/introverted nature, but I dunno.

but I don’t see any decline in the community?
in fact I see the opposite, new memes/groups/trends that spawn almost every day and people interacting and posting their own stuff/working on their own OC/stories etc
and yes then someone like johstick comes around and shits up the place, but that’s the internet
idk this seems to me just like the common trend of anyone who’s been on ANY online community for a length of time always sees their early years as the “golden years”, mainly due to nostalgia and other factors

You raise some fair points, and I admit that I’m most likely being partially blinded by my nostalgia.
The older days of the site just seemed a bit less chaotic in my opinion. Back then, toxic users were rare, people weren’t blocking one another for dumb shit, and things seemed relatively peaceful most of the time.
Don’t get me wrong, I recognize and accept the fact that communities will change over time. That’s a fact that this community taught me as I watched it grow and evolve over my many years here. The constant change, along with the many friends I’ve made here, are the main reasons I’ve bothered to stay with this community; rather than dropping it like some of my friends have.
Well maybe because they’re weren’t as many users but I can’t talk I only have been in the community recently.
At this point I pretty much come here for the Arcade Fighters group

Honestly, only reason I came back from months of retirement was to try to make more animations. It’s fun, although it gets boring at times. I never came back for the community. It’s a bunch of overly toxic and annoying people as a whole.
A note: Just steer clear from drama. It’s that easy.
