My dog just got put down. She’s been with me since I was 7 years old, and I’m really going to miss her…

Here’s a little backstory. I got her years ago when my other dog died, to help cope. Years of good memories pass, yada yada, until early 2019. At the moment, the dog that I owned along with her, (his name was buddy) died. He was 16, and honestly, though it was incredibly saddening, I got through it easily. I’ve seen him suffering for months and I was glad it was over. A few months after his death, my aunt’s dog had a litter of puppies. We got one, after persuading my dad, and for the last year, Ghost has been a really good boy. Now we’re at a few weeks ago from now. Luna’s fat. Her nipples are large. Yep, she’s pregnant. And a week ago, she had her puppies! But since then, it’s been a downward spiral. She’s been lazy. Tired. Not the same energetic, loyal, eager dog I knew. She had some illness, I don’t know exactly what it was, but it really made her suffer. She’s been bleeding out of her vagina, and there was discharge almost every time she laid down. Today, my dad took her to the vet to see what was up, and… they put her down. I was so excited to see my dog when she came home, and then I found out she was put down. Goodbye, Luna. You’re no longer by my side, but always in my heart. You were the goodest girl.
