Dear new SN users
If you’re going to make an OC, be sure to follow these rules, in order to create something that isn’t stupidly powerful.
1. If you make your character immortal, then you should probably get a life
2. Give your character an exploitable weakness, and a great strength. Not just pure strength. No character is supposed to be perfect.
3. Give your character some backstory, or some sort of aesthetic to go with it. It makes the character feel more complete than it is.
4. Add small details that can stand out. For example, Steven, my current OC, has a broken halo if you zoom in enough. Even if that detail doesn’t stand out, the halo does.
5. Don’t use a base figure, unless it’s for a series that requires the use of a base. Why? Because when you start from scratch, your ideas flow much more freely. You don’t need to stick to any sort of base.I know these all from either experience or just straight up thinking. I went from a shit looking edited figure with a cringe backstory to a derp demon. Lol.
Anyways, I’m probably going to be making some new figs or work on my animations as soon as I’m motivated enough

Although this is good there’s a few rules you may break, like the immortality rule and the backstory rule, that only applies for your STORY characters, or characters you use to fight people with. You may make your character immortal as long as he isn’t a fighter, he could simply be an icon for you or your Channel or account.
Not to mention it’s OK to start with a base, lots of people do, just don’t get too attached and feel the need to NEED a base
In the end
If the only way you can say your character is way better then another is power , that’s pretty pathetic
OP characters aren’t Necessarily bad , it’s just bland characters that are bad
I should think about an unique power for my oc…
all true, especially the weakness thing
also:
“If you make your character immortal, then you should probably get a life”
not sure if you meant that pun but 10/10 regardless
pun unintended
