I was just pondering, and I realised something about the new smash bros tournaments being shut down because it uses emulation (and slippi as a host for the tournaments but thats not why) and nintendo being bad gab. This is just random notes so im gonna sound competely incompetent:
What if they developed a slippi program for the wii (Yes this means you will have to use a wii to do this) that copied the game disc onto the system and modified it to allow WiFiConnection to be used? Im no developer, so I dont know how this would work. But since stuff like wiiflow can automatically copy a game directly on the system, I would feel you could do the same for gamecube games, and maybe modify them (kind of like riivolution does.) Though this might require the use of things like modding the system, getting riiconnect24, and all of that modding stuff that potentially bricks the system, id say thats a small side effect. They cant cease and desist because you usually use a legal copy to do this. And anybody who doesnt use a legal copy will be at fault, not the hosts themselves.
I may sound stupid, but I think im onto something. Obviously im just some dude in his bedroom so i wont really do anything to tell anybody, but go for it if you will. Im too incompetent to work anything out. No need to credit me, but id appreciate it.

Ngl thats interesting but all the games people play on the Wii anymore (That are multiplayer) already have reliable multiplayer, or more played version of the game in other ways (Project M replacing Brawl, and Mr. Bean3000s Mario Kart Wii CTGP) and also, doesn’t Slippi use Dolphin, which runs both anyway
