I recently re-watched Mary and the Witches Flower(an anime)
Animation: 10/10. A fully 2d animated movie is very hard to pull off, much less make everything look good and not stiff!. Some of the more extravagant scenes reminded me of Lu over the wall, which I loved.
Story: 7.9/10. Its pretty simple. But it overall did feel a bit short despite being an hour 30(iirc).
Extras: 8/10. Not very much to write about here.
Go watch it on Netflix if you want.

Now, what i came here to say
MIRACULOUS(Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir) IS GETTING A MOVIE.
And it actually looks really well animated at that.
im genuinely surprised considering the show was animated by 2 different studios at times. It comes out on the 28th on Netflix.

Quick Review: Puss in Boots, The Last Wish(On Netflix now, but i watched it on Peacock.)
Animation: 10/10. Needless to say, it was impressive. I only didnt like it at a small part where they did the low fps thing of Kitty running. It looked a bit weird. And made it look slower than it should’ve been.
Story: 9/10. Nothing much to say here either. Jack was a good villain tho.
Extras: 9/10. Doggo.

Score: 28/30

Quick Review: Extinct (also on Netflix)
Animation: 6/10. Solid. Nothing extraordinary.
Story: 7/10. I think the Time Flower concept is pretty cool.
Extras: 6/10. Nothing much to say here.

Score: 20/30

Quick reviews: The Sea Beast (Netflix)
Animation: 8/10. I was amazed at how gray-scaled everything was! My tv was on vivid, so it made the colors a lot more vibrant than they actually were. Yet that didnt take anything away from the graphics or animation. And they absolutely nailed the sizing of everything.
Story: 9/10 Solid. I liked it
Extras: 7/10 I liked the little details. Like my mom noticing Mazey’s(cant spell) hair being a bit fizzed after being in the water.(Shes got a curly Afro)

Score: 24/30

Mario movie.
Animation: 9/10
Illumination did a really good job! Not much to say here.
Story: 7/10
Honestly, the pacing was a bit weird. But other than that it was fine overall. And I wish we could’ve seen more of the other characters like toad. Toad was kinda just there. Didn’t contribute much.
Extras: 10/10
Lots of references to the various games! Down to even the music! Stuff from 3d world, bowser’s wedding outfit from odyssey, the(what I think was) mayor having resemblance to Pauline from odyssey, the Tanuki suit from new smb2, Mario’s forward air from smash bros, and many more! Too bad the Yoshi’s only got a few seconds of screen-time. Would’ve loved to see more of them.
Jack did a fantastic job at Bowser. Chris… he was fine. Not perfect, not horrible.

TLDR: Bowser can play a mean piano.
Final score: 8.9/10
